How it works

The Stone Stencil System is a revolutionary way to design and position your rhinestones and apply to apparel. From start to finish, the process takes less than 10 minutes. It takes only 8 easy steps to accomplish this (only 4 steps if already have stencil).

1.) Using the included software, design or trace a graphic to cut on a rhinestone stencil
2.) Cut the design out using the stencil material provided
3.) Peel plastic backing off. The tiny circles that were cut will stay on backing
4.) Stick the stencil to a backer board and place in tray
5.) Flood rhinestones in tray and shake. Rhinestones will fall into the stencil right side up
6.) Use a brush to help place missing stones in stencil
7.) Using clear silicon transfer film provided, place on stencil sticky side down and lift rhinestones
8.) Place clear silicon transfer film with rhinestones on fabric and press at 350F for 10 seconds.
.... Once cool, repress one more time for better adhesion.

Tips and Hints

When weeding the circles, for best results, we recommend you stick onto the other side of the backing and peel again to weed off the rest of the circles that are still on the stencil. Also to ensure the circles are easy to weed, the proper offset and overcut setting should be selected. The offset and overcut setting we recommend starting with is 0.035mm

If rhinestones don't fall in the stencil right side up, if they don't fall in at all, or if they easily fall out of the stencil, you may be using the wrong stone size. Or you may have to recut the calibration chart and get your circle measurements for your stone size, once done, go into the software and object replace and change the circles to the new measurement size for the stone size. Then recut your stencil with the new circle sizes.

For multi-colored rhinestone designs, we suggest making one stone color larger and the other stone color smaller. When flooding rhinestones into the stencil, do the larger stone color first and then the smaller stone color last.
